Principal Applications Engineer - Power Electronics, on-site north of Boston

Join a global leader in advanced power electronics solutions as a Principal Applications Engineer. In this high-impact, customer-facing role, you’ll partner with Tier 1 customers, influence next-generation product design, and ensure seamless integration from concept to mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage key customers to secure design wins and deliver tailored solutions.

• Develop technical documentation, application notes, and training for global Field Application Engineers.

• Research market needs and define requirements for new applications.

• Collaborate with Product Design Engineering on roadmap development.

• Conduct system-level testing and drive product improvements.

• Oversee creation of evaluation boards, models, and reference designs aligned with product launches.

Qualifications:

• BSEE with 10+ years in power electronics design/applications.

• Proven success with Tier 1 customers and complex system troubleshooting.

• Proficient with bench tools (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, EMI test equipment).

• Skilled with simulation tools (Pspice, SIMetrix/Simplis, MATLAB, Excel, Mathcad).
