What You Will Be Doing:

- Performance monitoring
- Problem troubleshooting and helpdesk response
- Capacity planning (monitoring utilization, availability, and growth patterns)
- Network landscape design, configuration, and standards
- 24/7 support, escalation procedures, and SLA models
- IMAC (installation, move, add, change) services for network components
- Change management methodology and communication strategy
- Conduct or coordinate incident diagnosis, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
- Supervise the configuration, testing, installation, modification, and maintenance of all network communications components (e.g., switches, routers, circuits, wireless, VoIP)
- Independently organize work requests based on departmental priorities and system criticality
- Manage relationships with vendors for the evaluation, installation, modification, upgrade, repair, and maintenance of network infrastructure components
- Serve as a Network SME and consultant to other groups (e.g., Endpoint Management, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Systems Administration)
- Plan, lead, and perform comprehensive systems analysis and design activities, including the development of detailed functional requirements for new network infrastructure solutions
- Ensure end-user (customer) satisfaction

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in Information Security, IT, or related technical discipline
- Minimum of 7 years in Information Technology
- At least 4 years of networking/telecom experience in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with multiple network-computing hardware components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers, wireless, VPN, etc.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and related networking protocols
- Desirable: Experience with telephony, desktop operating systems, and server environments
- Strong organizational skills with prior experience in a similar role
- Advanced experience in developing, evaluating, and implementing network information security architectures, technologies, standards, and practices
- Experience with firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, and 24/7 network monitoring
- Advanced experience in enterprise and data center security policy design and deployment
- Ability to work flexibly, self-motivated, and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of IT and business management
- Proficient in preparing and presenting complex technical information, both in written and oral formats
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks
- Experience in a lead role on a technical team of at least 4 people
- Proficient in UNIX (Perl, Python, Shell scripting)
- Proficient in Windows administration
- Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure)
- Professional industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDP, AWS, Azure)
- Expertise in BGP, OSPF, Policy Based Routing, L2/L3 VPN, QoS, SSL VPNs, ISE 802.1x
- Extensive experience with Cisco products, especially ISRs and 9300 series
- Familiarity with Suse, RedHat, or CentOS platforms
- Experience with tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco ISE/ACS, MRTG, NetFlow, PuTTy, and Wireshark
- Knowledge of Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls
- Experience with the integration of SIEM tools
- Familiarity with best practices and security guides (e.g., NIST 800-53 rev 4)
