Manager, Technical Infrastructure
The Manager of Technical Infrastructure is a hands-on position responsible for planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-class infrastructure and software across companies and its subsidiaries. This includes on-premises and Azure servers, networking components, identity and access management systems, SSO, multi-factor authentication tools, and business applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of mission-critical services.
The company is located in Reston, VA and is requiring 2 days onsite a week.

This includes on-premises and Azure servers, networking components, identity and access management systems, SSO, multi-factor authentication tools, and business applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of mission-critical services.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments, including performing patching, troubleshooting, and configuration tasks.
- Supervise Azure cloud services, including virtual machine, storage, and network management, while ensuring optimal security, scalability, and performance.
- Develop and oversee backup solutions for on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring scheduled monitoring, testing, and disaster recovery plan readiness.
- Deploy and manage patches across servers, workstations, and virtual machines using WSUS or SCCM to maintain system security and stability.
- Configure and manage switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, addressing network issues to maintain continuous service.
- Administer Active Directory, group policies, and user access, with integration to cloud services such as Azure AD.
- Oversee DNS and DHCP services for accurate IP address allocation and name resolution.
- Maintain Office 365 tenants, ensuring security and availability for email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Manage VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi), including virtual machines, clusters, and storage resources.
- Administer SQL Managed Instances on Azure, performing regular database management, backups, and performance tuning.
- Implement and manage SSO solutions to streamline application authentication across systems.
- Configure Okta for identity and access management, including application settings, policies, and automated user provisioning.
- Implement and enforce MFA to enhance system and cloud environment security.
- Support the maintenance of production, testing, and other system environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration; or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in Microsoft Windows platforms, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure, as well as 3 years in customer service and Cisco-based LAN/WAN technologies.
- Proficiency with hypervisor technologies, specifically VMware vSphere.
- Strong skills in organization, project planning, presentation, and time management with a high attention to detail.
- Capable of independently managing daily operations and prioritizing tasks without direct supervision.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical abilities, multitasking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Able to work both in-office and remotely according to companies’ hybrid work environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including after business hours, and to be periodically on-call for after-hours support; flexibility to adjust hours to support teams in other regions as needed.
- Must carry a cell phone during business hours and on-call shifts and be willing to travel as necessary to support companies’ global offices.
