Cleared Network Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to lead and evolve the ITP network enterprise that underpins DHS’s insider threat mission. ITP uses advanced analytics, monitoring, and data correlation to detect, assess, and mitigate insider threats before they can compromise DHS systems or operations supporting the defense of the homeland.

This company is located in Springfield VA and requires 5 days onsite a week.

The candidate must have an Active TS/SCI Clearance.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Support and sustain the ITP network infrastructure, including routine maintenance, upgrades, system recapitalization planning, and availability/capacity management.
• Oversee the High Speed Guard Cross Domain solution responsible for secure data transfer between multiple classification domains.
• Develop and maintain documentation that accurately captures the network configuration baseline.
• Design and support system recapitalization plans that account for capacity growth and customer-directed changes.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all aspects of the ITP network infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership responsibilities in prior roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, analyses, and reports.
• Proven experience preparing and delivering briefings to senior customer leadership and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of defense-in-depth concepts, network/hardware/software security architectures, network topology, IT device integrity, and common security controls.
• Ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Master’s degree in IT Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of experience in IT service delivery management.
• Experience with User Activity Monitoring tools and platforms.
• Experience with the Everfox High Speed Guard platform.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Existing DHS clearance preferred.
• CCNP or higher-level networking certification.
• Experience with ForcePoint and/or FirePower.
