Network Engineer

Exciting full-time job opportunity for a mid-level Network Engineer to join a fintech company in downtown Chicago. This role involves providing Level 2/3 network support, managing routing and switching, and troubleshooting various network issues. You will report directly to the Director of Network Services and will be key player in network design and provisioning projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 Years of experience in network engineering
• Strong Understanding of network protocols and infrastructure
• Proficiency with networking devices including firewalls, routers, and switches
• Familiarity with Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto technologies
• Experience with multicast configuration and cloud networking

Desired Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of financial markets
• Network Security expertise
• Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Cisco)

Daily Responsibilities

• 40% Monitoring and maintaining network performance
• 30% Managing and Configuring routing and switching
• 20% Collaborating on network design and strategic improvements
• 10% Conducting disaster recovery testing and maintaining documentation
