SRE Manager
We’re hiring an SRE Manager to lead the core platform that powers their cloud infrastructure. This role owns the teams responsible for architecting, building, and automating the cloud-native foundation that product teams rely on to ship and scale services quickly and reliably.
The company is in McLean, VA and will be 5 days onsite a week.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead and expand globally distributed teams building and running the company’s cloud-native platform (Kubernetes, networking, infrastructure automation).
- Set the technical vision and roadmap for the platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security at enterprise scale.
- Drive migration toward fully automated, self-service infrastructure.
- Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to prioritize platform investments.
- Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing engineers in a highly competitive talent market.
- Mentor managers and senior engineers; promote a culture of innovation, ownership, and operational rigor.
- Collaborate with SRE and support teams to reduce incidents, improve reliability, and elevate customer experience.
- Embed DevSecOps principles and security into platform strategy and execution.
- 15+ years in software or infrastructure engineering.
- 7+ years managing engineering teams building enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
- 3+ years in a senior leadership seat overseeing multiple teams.
- Deep experience with AWS core services (EKS, VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS).
- Proven success designing, scaling, and operating Kubernetes-based, cloud-native platforms.
- Strong background with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane, or similar).
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD tooling and automation practices.
- Experience modernizing or transforming platform delivery at a large-scale software organization is a plus.
