Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA/CMI).
- 3-5 years of S&U tax experience.
- Technical sales tax experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Ability to establish working relationships with key internal and external customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Deadline driven with the highest possible accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to process large amounts of data in Excel.
- Familiar with software applications (Oracle, CCH, SQL, SharePoint)
- Ability to perform actions and make decisions with integrity and sound judgment.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Telecommunication and/or Software as a Service experience.
- Prepares audit report findings, outlines discrepancies, and recommends corrective action.
- Research assets and locate corresponding purchase invoices using Oracle.
- Maintain tax records and information used in tax audits; Reconcile tax returns to payments and payments to GL.
- Gather information requested in audits.
- Assist with special projects and company initiatives.
- Resolve tax issues for internal and external clients.
- Execute on strategic initiatives and have a strong ability to analyze data.
- Support exemption certificate requests for purchases made by Cox and affiliates.
- Research tax issues using various tools such as CCH, RIA, etc.
- Collaborate with team members to proactively drive change, including identifying and implementing ideas for process improvement/value-added opportunities.
- Monitor changes in regulations and other aspects of tax policy.
