A leading defense technology integrator is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a high-profile airborne C4ISR program, delivering decision-quality data to warfighters. This is a full-time role supporting the development and integration of advanced airborne systems through Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices. The role can be remote with periodic on-site collaboration, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

In this role, you'll lead requirements management, architecture development, system modeling, and digital thread management across a complex system-of-systems. You’ll play a key part in bringing next-generation airborne capabilities to flight readiness for Major Release 2 (FY25–27). Work directly with cross-functional teams on a mix of software, hardware, and operational platforms in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • B.S. in Systems, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering (or related field)

  • 15+ years of systems engineering experience on DoD C4ISR, avionics, or open-architecture programs (or 12+ years with M.S.)

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Proficiency with SysML modeling tools (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody)

  • Experience with requirements tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama)

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD avionics, data links (Link-16/22, TTNT), SATCOM, and Type-1 crypto

  • Proven leadership in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), digital baselines, and integration with flight hardware

  • Experience aligning with RMF/IA compliance and airworthiness/test certification

Desired Skills & Experience

  • INCOSE CSEP/ESEP or DAU ENG/SAE Level III certification

  • Experience on ABMS, CJADC2, or airborne networking programs

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and pipelines (e.g., Platform One, Iron Bank)

  • Knowledge of automated model validation tools (ModelCenter, Cameo Simulation Toolkit)

  • Experience briefing senior leadership (SES/GO) and contributing to acquisition strategy docs (AS, SEP, TEMP, etc.)
