Java Developer - Graphics / Simulation Development

A robotics company in downtown Boston is looking for a Java software engineer for a 6-12 month contract. You’ll be working in their R+D group that builds new simulation concepts and 3D worlds for robotics simulation. This job will require occasional travel to their Boston office location so you must currently be located in the Greater Boston Area. To succeed in this role you’ll need 5+ years working on scalable web based Java applications and have experience with Docker/AWS. Simulation or Graphics Design is also needed. For this position, you will be a W2 consultant with full benefits. This client CANNOT support C2C engagements. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of building scalable Java based web applications
• Experience scaling horizontally
• Ability to write clean object oriented code
• Experience with Docker containerization
• Experience working in an AWS hosted environment
• Experience with graphics or simulation software (Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, etc)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience building 3D simulation models
• Robotics software simulation
• Experience working with Kotlin or a desire to learn
• CURRENTLY located in the Greater Boston area
