Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, sales engineering, or similarly demo-intensive SaaS roles
- Experience selling to government or public safety agencies CAD/RMS exposure is a plus
- Excellent technical writing and storytelling skills (for RFPs, proposals, demo scripts)
- Strong verbal communication, comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, including civic leaders, commanders, and front-line users
- Proficiency delivering structured, high-impact product demonstrations (both virtual and in-person)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage independently
- Ability to travel 50%–80% to meet customers and support field engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Public Safety, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) and/or RMS (Records Management Systems) platforms
- Act as the technical linchpin across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Tech Services aligning teams and delivering value to stakeholders.
- Lead live demos (virtual and in-person), showcasing how your platform transforms public safety workflows
- Adapt technical messaging to resonate with both decision-makers and front-line users
- Partner with Sales to discern agency needs and tailor solution strategies accordingly
- Facilitate RFP and proposal responses, ensuring clarity, compliance, and strategic positioning
- Capture technical requirements and guide their integration into deployment plans
- Spot and resolve technical blockers early in the sales process to ensure seamless delivery
- Relay customer feedback to inform and refine the product roadmap
- Stay synchronized with Product and Engineering, communicating both current capabilities and forthcoming enhancements to stakeholders
