We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Engineer III to join our growing Cloud & Infrastructure team. In this hybrid role based in Worcester, MA, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
As a senior-level individual contributor, you’ll work alongside architects, DevOps engineers, developers, and security teams to deploy and support scalable, secure, and highly available systems. You’ll be expected to lead complex cloud engineering projects, implement automation, and contribute to best practices for infrastructure as code and cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities-
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

Build and manage scalable, highly available, and secure cloud environments for development, testing, and production workloads.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.

Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

Ensure cloud environments follow best practices for cost optimization, security, resilience, and compliance.

Participate in architectural reviews and provide input on cloud-native design and scalability improvements.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and documentation.
Required:
-
5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years working specifically with AWS.

Proficiency in AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity/access management, and security principles.

Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK, or Prometheus.

Experience working in CI/CD environments and with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:

AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect)

Experience with Kubernetes (especially EKS) or container orchestration

Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud environments

Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
