My client is seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle robotics start-up in Boston, ma. As a pivotal member of the engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and refining mechanical systems integral to their autonomous vehicle technology.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer on the team, you will lead the design and development of innovative mechanical systems for autonomous vehicles, including chassis, drivetrain, suspension, and thermal management systems. Oversee the prototyping and testing of mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a focus on complex systems (experience in autonomous vehicles or robotics strongly preferred).

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with FEA and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive or aerospace industry standards and regulations.
