Our client is seeking a Principal SDET / DevOps Engineer to join its developer experience team specifically focused on building test automation tools used by the quality engineer organization. This is a hybrid, full-time role. This position focuses on building and scaling automated test frameworks for cloud-based applications, with a strong emphasis on AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and modern web technologies.
This is a principal, hands-on role for someone who wants to set technical direction and raise the bar for quality across complex, data-intensive platforms. Our client is looking for a seasoned SDET who can architect automation at scale, influence DevOps practices, and partner closely with engineering teams building mission-critical cloud products. You’ll have real ownership over tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure decisions while working on systems that support high-impact, real-world risk modeling.

8+ years of experience as an SDET or in software quality engineering within enterprise environments

Strong experience designing and building automated test frameworks for cloud-native applications

Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure

Proficiency in Python, C#, and .NET Core

Experience testing microservices, REST APIs, and web applications

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Experience building SaaS automation frameworks in AWS environments

Familiarity with modern web frameworks such as Angular or React

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Exposure to test frameworks such as Cypress, Mocha, or Jasmine

AWS or Azure cloud certifications

Architect and maintain automated test frameworks for AWS-based applications

Embed test automation into CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality and speed

Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to improve testability and reliability

Design scalable cloud infrastructure to support automated testing

Evaluate and introduce tools that improve automation efficiency
