Work Arrangement: This position offers a hybrid setup, with an expectation to be in the office at least 2-3 days each week.
Role Overview: The Quantitative DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the smooth operation of environments across development and production stages within our advanced Azure-based Investment Data Analytics Platform. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our team’s efficiency and productivity through process automation. It’s a hands-on role, focused on high-impact projects that align closely with our strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in DevOps and process automation, ideally within data-centric applications.
- Solid background in managing Git repositories, along with expertise in branching/version control.
- Proficiency in scripting for automated deployment pipelines, including integration of approval gates.
- Skilled in containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
- Familiar with both Windows and Linux infrastructures.
- Experience with cloud management using infrastructure as code (IaC), particularly within Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of effective configuration and security best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully completing high-stakes, complex projects.
- Energetic, collaborative, and accustomed to Agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside data engineers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to optimize deployment processes.
- Manage and develop software repositories and deployment pipelines collaboratively.
- Design and maintain automation tools for configuration and IaC.
- Implement security protocols and access controls.
- Innovate and demonstrate strategies to enhance our infrastructure, delivery mechanisms, and system performance.
- Oversee the release process in partnership with development, testing, and business teams.
- Regularly assess CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency and control.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
