Job Description
We are working with a client in digital dermatopathology seeking a Software Engineer to join their remote U.S. team. This role involves building secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications that support advanced pathology workflows in a HIPAA-compliant environment. You will work with Python and modern web technologies to design tools that improve patient care and clinical efficiency. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional software development experience across the full SDLC
- Strong proficiency in Python or a similar programming language
- Hands-on experience with SQL and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA
- Solid understanding of software design, testing, and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with front-end development and building interactive web applications
- Experience integrating components into full-stack systems
- Knowledge of test-driven development and QA methodologies
- Ability to troubleshoot and enhance existing systems
- Experience developing healthcare or clinical software solutions
- Understanding of HL7 standards, interoperability, or EMR integration
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks and visualization tools
- Experience working in HIPAA-compliant development environments
- 40% Backend Development (Python, APIs, Data Integration)

- Design and develop new clinical features and annotation tools
- Collaborate with product and lab teams to improve user experience
