Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- 8+ Years of hands-on experience at scale on Middleware Messaging environments including IBM MQ (aka WebSphere MQ), IBM Message Broker (ACE/IIB), KAFKA, Solace
- MQ Administration - performing activities build, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, deploys, configuring, patching and compliance.
- Experience in configuring MQ Queue Managers and troubleshooting issues involving MQ Clusters.
- Creating, configuring, and maintaining MQ Objects like Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, Topics
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including leadership.
- Strong team or technical leadership experience Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- 12+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Good understanding of MQ monitoring tools like IR360
- Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment.
- Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area.
- Provide implementation support for key risk initiatives.
- Experience with IBM MQ Appliance
- Understanding Incident Management System (ServiceNow preferred)
- Monitoring Alerts, Batch Failures, Service Now Queue.
- Handle outage calls efficiently, triage any issues, and fix them.
- Experience in Ansible, and UDeploy
- Experience with types of Jobs Failures and Troubleshooting
- zOS Mainframe experience
- Experience with IBM MQ on zOS, zLinux, AIX
What You Will Be Doing
- Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Infrastructure Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Infrastructure Engineering deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Infrastructure Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Infrastructure Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Infrastructure Engineering.
