IT Azure Systems Administrator
The IT Azure Systems Administrator, reporting to the IT Department Manager, will be responsible for managing and optimizing Microsoft Azure environments. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Azure cloud services and proven success migrating user accounts and services to cloud. This role is critical in maintaining the company’s hybrid cloud infrastructure and driving ongoing cloud transformation initiatives.
The company is located in Steele Creek (10 minutes away from Charlotte, NC Airport) and will be 5 days onsite a week.

This role is critical in maintaining the company’s hybrid cloud infrastructure and driving ongoing cloud transformation initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead migrations of user accounts, resources, and services from on-premises and external systems into Microsoft Azure.
- Manage Azure AD identities, credentials, and RBAC across integrated services.
- Administer and maintain Azure resources including VMs, networks, storage, and identity services.
- Configure and manage Azure AD with on-premises integration via AD Connect.
- Monitor performance, security, and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools.
- Enforce security best practices with access controls, encryption, firewalls, and conditional access policies.
- Automate administration using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Implement and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions with Azure-native tools.
- Partner with internal teams to align cloud services with business and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and runbooks.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex Azure and infrastructure issues.
- 3–5 years in systems administration or cloud infrastructure, including 2+ years dedicated to Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience migrating user accounts and services to Azure, including Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
- Strong background in Azure administration covering virtual machines, storage, networking, identity, and governance.
- Skilled with Azure AD, AD Connect, and hybrid identity solutions.
- Proficient in scripting/automation using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
- Knowledge of cloud monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Microsoft certification such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or similar credential.
