An insurance company based in Bethesda, MD is hiring a Product Manager, full time to their team. This is a hybrid in office position. 

In this position, reporting to the Director, you will assist in the planning, development, and launch of new products, as well as enhancements and revisions to existing offerings. Under the guidance of the Director, you will manage departmental operations and processes, driving process improvements and developing success metrics that support our product management initiatives. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring they meet their goals and adapt to evolving member needs.



Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of insurance industry experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance company operations and understanding of the structure and terminology of insurance products
  • Demonstrated proficiency with insurance policy or contract language; drafting experience a plus
  • Experience with insurance operations, management, technology, and manuals
  • Demonstrated ability to create project plans and lead projects
  • Creative, curious, detail-oriented
  • Excellent research, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience gathering, organizing, and analyzing data
What You Will Be Doing
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with cross-functional teams to draft, revise, and finalize engaging product forms that meet market needs.
  • Product Database Management: Oversee and optimize our product database, ensuring that policy forms, underwriting guidelines, and endorsement requirements are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Product Effectiveness Monitoring: Work closely with the Director to assess the performance of existing products, adapting offerings as member needs evolve.
  • Engagement with Operations Teams: Foster regular communication with operations teams to ensure awareness and alignment with emerging product technology trends.
  • Inter-departmental Training: Lead dynamic training sessions to educate teams on product enhancements, changes, and refreshers, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Spearhead cross-departmental teams to finalize IT requirements for products, ensuring the integrity of the Developer’s Box on endorsements.
  • Team Meetings Facilitation: Lead product development meetings that encourage collaboration, innovation, and effective problem-solving.
  • Endorsement Lifecycle Management: Manage the endorsement lifecycle and monitor product success metrics, including profitability analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • Special Projects Participation: Engage in special projects and additional duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
