Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Perl)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
  • Experience supporting application deployments and automation frameworks
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience in financial services or trading environments
  • Familiarity with latency-sensitive applications and performance tuning
  • Jenkins or CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Knowledge of trading protocols (BATS BOE, NASDAQ, MIAX)
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS)
  • Database query optimization experience
  • Red Hat certification

Daily Responsibilities
  • 60% Hands On (system deployment, optimization, troubleshooting)
  • 15% Management Duties (process improvement, documentation)
  • 25% Team Collaboration (working with trading desks, dev teams, network engineering)
