Be the second Cloud Engineer as a well-known Chicago Hospital begins expanding the scale of their cloud environment. They provide superior care in a setting that offers the latest benefits and innovations in medical technology, research and family-friendly design. They are in search of a Cloud Engineer who can seamlessly mesh tech know-how with business acumen to help navigate their public and private cloud computing needs, including infrastructure design, maintenance, support and planning, and everything in between.

This opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact on the Cloud Architecture and security of a top Chicago based Hospital. Not only are you experienced in cloud-based tech, but you have a firm grasp of aaS technologies, platforms and applications, and have intimate knowledge of how best to customize these attributes to the business to help them become more secure and efficient. You can help connect the dots and evolve their cloud capabilities over time, but you’re also evolving your own capabilities as an engineer and keeping an eye on developments that can support the expansion. There is significant room for growth as they intend to continue expanding the team.



Required Skills & Experience
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification (AZ-104) or Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies Certification (AZ-305)
  • Experience migrating on-premises infrastructure to Azure
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITECH Act)
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Background with hybrid cloud environments (on-premises and Azure)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in Azure environments
  • Startup experience or experience working within small, focused engineering teams
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Solid understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with strong diagnostic and analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in information systems/technology within a healthcare provider organization is strongly desire.

Daily Responsibilities
  • 60% Hands-on technical work (deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting)
  • 40% Team collaboration, planning, and documentation
