A top-tier B2B e-commerce powerhouse based in Chicago is hiring a full-time Lead Data Engineer to join their high-impact Pricing Technology team. This hybrid opportunity blends strategic ownership with hands-on engineering, leveraging a modern stack of Python, SQL, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, DAGs and AWS to transform pricing operations at scale.

As part of a lean, but very sharp and collaborative team, you’ll design and deploy cloud-native data pipelines that directly influence how products are priced, promoted, and positioned in the business. Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • 5+ years building & deploying cloud-native pipelines (AWS)
  • Strong Python & SQL skills
  • DBT, Airflow, Snowflake
  • DAGs or similar orchestration tools
  • Experience designing scalable data lakes and pipelines
  • Strong cross-functional communication and requirement gathering skills
  • Team mentorship and tech leadership
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with data mesh architecture
  • Background in pricing, ecommerce, or advanced analytics
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Machine Learning exposure is a plus
