Principal Infrastructure Engineer

One of the largest equity firms is looking to bring on a Principal Infrastructure Engineer for an ongoing digital modernization project. The company platform offers comprehensive financial information and advice tailored for consumers, empowering individuals to make informed financial decisions. They reach millions of people monthly through educational resources and user-friendly calculators and tools.

They are looking for someone who will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid infrastructure solutions across both on-premises, Windows servers, and AWS environments. You will be leading migrations from on-prem to the cloud, automating CI/CD pipelines, and streamlining operational workflows. As well as collaborating closely with DevOps, application, and security teams to drive automation, operational excellence, and infrastructure modernization initiatives, while working alongside other engineers.


Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Windows Server engineering and infrastructure support experience
• Advanced administration of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Packer)
• VMware administration (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and virtualization concepts
• AWS experience with EC2, networking, and hybrid integrations
• PowerShell scripting expertise
• IaC implementation

Desired Skills & Experience

• Kubernetes/container platform experience
• Python or Bash scripting
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware VCP-DCV, AWS Solutions Architect, Terraform/Ansible)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
