Staff DevOps Engineer / K8s Expert

We’re working with a Fortune 500 company based in the Chicago area. They are in the manufacturing and distribution space and have consistently been ranked as one of the top places to work in Chicago. This would be on their Platform Team where they impact all parts of the technology group to create core infrastructure for AI products by using Deep Learning, NLP, and Computer Vision.


Join this vital team where you'll play a key role in making important decisions and enhancements to their engineering platform. You will drive reliability, innovation, and best practices as they continue to scale. You'll lead end-to-end Kubernetes orchestration and customize solutions beyond standard deployments. 


Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering
• Coding development experience in production with any JVM language or Python
• Expertise with Kubernetes that goes beyond deployment and upgrading
• Ability to lead Monitoring and Observability workflows

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting Machine Learning Operations teams

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown

• 30% Kubernetes
• 30% Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• 40% GitOps
