A digital first insurance start up is seeking a Technical Product Manager in Chicago. This full time role is hybrid in downtown Chicago - 4 days a week onsite with 1 day remote.

This company is well funded and led by a veteran team of insurance and technology experts and their founder & CEO is a Forbes-listed serial entrepreneur. They have an ambitious go-to-market schedule of launching multiple new products and capabilities into the Small Commercial E&S markets and projects a high growth trajectory supported by further venture investment meaning there is major potential for growth as the company expands.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Exceptional analytics and problem-solving skills, the ability to structure ambiguous problems and the initiative to work cross-functionally to solve them.
  • Prior experience with (or willingness to learn) SQL for data analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile best practices.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience in insurance or fintech experience is a plus!
  • 3-5 year of experience in Product Management
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • 20% Stakeholder Interactions
  • 60% Product Ownership
  • 20% Team Collaboration
  • Responsible for developing the technology roadmap based on company objectives, creating technical specs, and driving implementation.
  • Objectives include launching new insurance programs, updating existing insurance programs, optimizing the broker user experience, and developing platform enhancements to support rapid growth.
  • Provide technical support for stakeholder teams: Underwriting, Distribution, Insurance Product and Operations.
