A nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the community is seeking a proactive and strategic Grant Accountant to join their finance team. Based in Conshohocken, PA ,this position works closely with the CFO and Controller to oversee and enhance the organization’s accounting and finance operations, with a strong emphasis on grant management, compliance, and financial reporting.
In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between finance, operations, and fund development teams—ensuring seamless grant compliance, fiscal integrity, and operational efficiency. Required Skills & Experience-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA certification strongly preferred

3+ years of progressively responsible experience in grant or nonprofit accounting

Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite preferred)

Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit procedures

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Familiarity with Salesforce, Ceridian, and database systems preferred

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently while leading with a positive, professional attitude

Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

Experience in financial reporting, grant budgeting, and compliance management

Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing grants and nonprofit operations

Experience with automation or system improvement projects within finance

Ability to manage multiple funding sources and complex reporting requirements
