Senior Network Engineer

They are currently seeking a full-time Network Security Engineer to bridge the gap between cybersecurity and network infrastructure teams, driving success through the application of cutting-edge technologies.

Right now, they are looking for a candidate to join their innovative Information Security team as a Sr. Network Security Engineer. This is your chance to take on a key role in driving critical initiatives, including the deployment of Zscaler Zero Trust, while working with advanced tools like WAF and proxy technologies. Six-month contract-to-hire position in Coppell, TX, offering a pay rate of $70–$75 per hour. Seeking a mid-level professional with strong growth potential. Training will be provided.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Cyber Security, with 6+ years in system security and testing.
• Advanced experience in InfoSec design and architecture.
• Expertise with NextGen Firewalls, DLP, NAC, IDS/IPS, Azure Security, Identity and Access Management, SIEM, and Zero Trust.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network administration/protocols, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, SSCP, CEH) are a plus.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with security technologies and auditing techniques.
• Strong technical and business integration skills.
• Knowledge of automation strategies and executive-level communication.

Principal Duties

• Architect and design enterprise InfoSec solutions.
• Develop and maintain security procedures and reference architecture.
• Install and manage SIEM, DLP, IPS, and other security tools.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and system activity.
• Conduct formal design reviews and implement security controls.
• Train team members and respond to security incidents.
