An energy solutions company located in Crown Point, Indiana is looking to bring on an experienced Network Administrator to manage and optimize their growing IT infrastructure. This full-time on-site opportunity offers the chance to work with Cisco/Juniper, VLANs, firewalls, and Azure-based services.

This is a great opportunity for a mid-to-senior-level Network Admin who’s ready to take ownership of a company’s network from top to bottom. You’ll be the go-to expert when it comes to network performance, security, and design — and will work alongside a sharp infrastructure team that values autonomy and technical leadership. Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Administration
  • Strong experience Cisco/Juniper switches/routers
  • Proficiency with firewall configuration (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience managing VPNs, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, and patch panels
  • Solid understanding of network security and access controls
  • Proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Industry certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Network+
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
  • Strong documentation and process improvement skills
What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown:
  • 60% Network Administration (Switches, Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, Monitoring Tools)
  • 25% Security & Compliance (Firewalls, Access Control, Network Hardening)
  • 15% Collaboration & Documentation (Projects, Documentation, Process Improvements)
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, and routers
  • Monitor network health and respond to connectivity issues
  • Implement network security protocols and handle escalations
  • Manage network-related projects, upgrades, and migrations
  • Document network layout, changes, and procedures
