Senior Linux Engineer

A rapidly growing Chicago based organization is searching for a Senior Linux Engineer to maintain mission critical infrastructure. The role requires a strong background in Cloud Platforms and an absolute expertise using Linux systems. The Senior Linux engineer will be proficient with Ansible and common ticketing systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience with Linux systems
• Experience maintaining and improving Network Infrastructure
• Deep knowledge of security and monitoring applications
• Proficiency in AWS and configuration management tools
• Experience fulfilling tickets using Jira or Serena

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with GitHub actions
• Proven experience collaborating with midsized teams
• Security or Cloud certifications
• Strong ability to multitask

• 40% Network Engineering

Daily Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance (HIPPA, SOC2)
• Implement Monitoring and Security tools across cloud infrastructure
• Create and deploy automations to streamline work
• Maintain and update CI/CD pipelines
• Create or improve implement response plans to mitigate system risk
• Facilitate system wide updates or maintenance
