VMWare Specialist / Onsite / Denton, TX

A company in the aircraft manufacturing space is hiring for a VMWare Specialist. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with potential for extension or conversion. Onsite in their Denton, TX office.

They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced VMware Expert. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of VMware-based virtualization infrastructure. You will work closely with systems administrators, network administrators, and other technical staff to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our virtual environments.
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience (10+ years) in VMware infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and virtual machines.
• Understanding of storage, networking, and backup technologies in virtual environments.
• Ability to script and automate tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher (VCAP, VCIX).
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and how it integrates with VMware.
• Experience with ITIL practices and change management processes.
• Hands-on experience with Linux virtual machines.
