A rapidly growing, technology-driven financial services organization is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join its expanding engineering and product team. This role will support the testing and validation of enterprise software platforms used to manage annuity and insurance products in a highly regulated environment.
In this role, you’ll work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure the accuracy and quality of both front-end applications and backend APIs supporting critical financial workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong experience executing manual testing strategies, validating API functionality, and supporting releases in Agile development environments. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that new features, integrations, and system updates meet functional requirements, regulatory expectations, and overall quality standards.
It is a hybrid position based in Durham, North Carolina with onsite work required 3 days a week.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working in software quality assurance roles
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Experience creating, executing, and maintaining detailed test cases and test plans
- Hands-on experience performing API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI
- Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using tools such as Jira
- Experience supporting regression, integration, and user acceptance testing efforts
- Strong understanding of Agile or Scrum development environments
- Experience validating data accuracy and system workflows within enterprise applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working within financial services, insurance, or annuity-based systems
- Experience testing policy administration, billing, claims, or financial transaction platforms
- Exposure to insurance platforms such as FAST, Vitech, OIPA, ALIP, Cyberlife, or similar
- Basic SQL experience for validating backend data or running database queries
- Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks
- Experience collaborating with automation teams to expand automated test coverage
