A financial investment firm based in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to join their growing team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the company’s IT infrastructure while supporting daily operations. The position involves a balance of hands-on technical work and team leadership, assisting with network and system administration, IT security, and project execution across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, effective troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable IT services.
The company is looking for an engineer who enjoys being actively involved in technical initiatives, particularly in a hybrid on-premises and Azure environment leveraging VMware and Dell EMC storage solutions. Experience with Cisco networking, access points, and firewalls is highly preferred. This position is designed to grow into an IT Manager role, making it an excellent fit for someone eager to expand their leadership responsibilities while remaining engaged in hands-on engineering work.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX, with working hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Desired Skills & Experience-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline

5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering

Proven experience overseeing IT infrastructure — including servers, networks, storage, hardware, and software systems — across both on-prem and Azure environments

Strong background with Windows Server, VMware, Cisco technologies, wireless access points, and firewall management

Experience leading or mentoring IT staff, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and timely resolution of technical issues

Involvement in planning and executing IT projects and infrastructure upgrades

Familiarity with IT policies, security standards, and best practices

Ability to manage IT assets, software licensing, and vendor relationships
