Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid) Position Overview:
A dynamic and forward-thinking organization is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join its Business Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in cloud data warehousing who is passionate about building data platforms that enable business intelligence, analytics, and data science at scale. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s data ecosystem, including sources, tools, master data, and analytics assets
  • Design, deploy, and manage a modern cloud-based data warehouse infrastructure
  • Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance through maintenance and configuration tuning
  • Design data architecture and modeling solutions, and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Build flexible and scalable data models to support a wide range of business needs
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, governance policies, and technical best practices
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of cloud data warehouse and big data initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in data architecture, warehousing, or data platform development
  • Strong track record in delivering scalable and enterprise-grade data solutions
  • Expertise in building conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, modern modeling practices, and ELT/ETL strategies
  • Experience with tools like dbt and practices related to data privacy, quality, and governance
  • Proven ability to lead and manage data initiatives across complex environments
  • Proficiency with Snowflake
  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Excellent technical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across teams
Salary: 170-180K
