IT NETWORK ARCHITECT
Fantastic organization in Lawrenceville, GA is looking for a IT Network Architect for a 12+ month 100% onsite contract role in Lawrenceville, GA
Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Network Architect to join their dynamic infrastructure team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-level network solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement robust LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions for large-scale environments.

Lead the architecture and strategic planning of network infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver network solutions aligned with business needs.

Create comprehensive network diagrams, documentation, and implementation strategies.

Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and protocols to improve performance and efficiency.

Configure and deploy network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, and load balancers.

Develop and enforce network security measures including ACLs, encryption, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.

Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and perform tuning for optimal uptime and reliability.

Serve as a technical lead and escalation point for network-related issues.

Stay current on emerging networking technologies and industry best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
At least 10 years of experience supporting network infrastructure in medium to large environments.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in network architecture and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network design and implementation.

Strong command of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs.

Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Arista hardware.

Proficient in network security design and implementation.

Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent.

Relevant certifications strongly preferred: CCNP, JNCIP, CISSP, or similar.

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
