Job Description:

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Westlake Village/El Segundo with a dynamic IT organization. They’re seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises environments. This role ensures the stability, security, and scalability of systems that support critical organizational functions, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.

The position is ideal for a skilled engineer who thrives in hands-on problem solving, proactive system management, and cross-team collaboration. Required Skills & Experience

  • Several years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration, or a related role

  • Proven expertise with both Windows and Linux server environments

  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise storage technologies (e.g., Dell EMC, Pure Storage)

  • Experience managing and optimizing virtualization platforms (VMware)

  • Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+, VMware, or related credentials

  • Knowledge of data protection, archiving, and tiered storage strategies

  • Familiarity with automation tools (scripting and configuration management)

What You Will Be Doing

Infrastructure Design & Operations

  • Design, deploy, and run scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions

  • Administer servers, storage, and virtualization platforms through proactive maintenance, upgrades, and patching

  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions aligned with business continuity objectives

Storage & Systems Management

  • Manage enterprise storage platforms (SAN, NAS), ensuring performance and reliability

  • Monitor storage utilization, capacity, and performance, implementing improvements as needed

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, storage, and network issues

Collaboration & Optimization

  • Partner with IT and development teams to support deployments, performance tuning, and system optimization

  • Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools

  • Document infrastructure designs, procedures, and operational workflows

Incident Response & Governance

  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and change management processes

  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with IT security standards and best practices
