About the Role: We are a forward-thinking tech organization looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to oversee and optimize our cloud-based database environments. This role will be pivotal in maintaining system performance, resolving issues, and enhancing the platform’s scalability and efficiency. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with cross-functional groups to ensure the continuous improvement of our database infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve database issues to ensure high availability and performance at all times.
  • Constantly analyze and optimize database configurations and performance to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure that the database architecture supports the operational requirements of the company.
  • Provide expert technical support and offer training to the development teams for best practices.
  • Take the lead on building and enhancing the database platform and contribute to the development of tools for database management and maintenance.
  • Stay on top of new trends and advancements in database technologies to apply them to enhance our business operations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Redis, Doris) is a strong plus, along with relevant operational experience.
  • Excellent skills in Linux system administration, including deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Shell, Python, Java) to automate database tasks.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, data replication, and election mechanisms.
  • Experience with open-source middleware in large-scale environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
