Senior Database Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure (Onsite / Irvine)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to manage our cloud-based database systems. This crucial role involves optimizing database performance, resolving faults, and advancing our platform's scalability in a high-demand setting. As a senior technical leader, you will collaborate with diverse teams to enhance our database infrastructure, offer expert guidance, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge database tools.

Key Duties:

• Troubleshoot database issues quickly to ensure that database systems maintain optimal performance and uptime.
• Continuously monitor and fine-tune system configurations to achieve peak database efficiency.
• Work closely with business units to align database solutions with operational goals.
• Provide technical training, coaching, and support to development teams to improve overall database usage.
• Take ownership of developing and enhancing database platforms and contribute to tools that simplify database management and operations.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technology to drive improvements in the company's database practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, and Doris is beneficial.
• Strong background in Linux systems administration, particularly in database-related tasks like deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience with scripting or programming in languages such as Shell, Python, or Java for automating database processes.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, data replication strategies, and election protocols is an advantage.
• Prior experience with open-source middleware in large-scale environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage pressure and deliver results in a timely manner.
