A fast-growing startup at the intersection of AI and decentralization is seeking a sharp Network Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps) to help scale mission-critical infrastructure. This role is a unique blend of DevOps, physical infrastructure, and network architecture—perfect for someone who enjoys tackling complex infrastructure challenges at scale.
They recently stood up a data center in Ashburn, VA, so while the position is mostly remote, we're looking for someone local who can be on-site when needed to ensure uptime and resolve hardware, networking, and server issues swiftly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot routers, switches, and server connectivity.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), focusing on networking, security, and automation.
- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Implement and maintain monitoring/logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintaining physical and network infrastructure.
- Understanding of network hardware (routers, switches) and server connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalents.
- Strong background in cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in performance tuning and infrastructure automation.
- Must be based near Ashburn, VA for occasional on-site support.
