Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
• 5+ years of trading systems analysis experience in a large global bank.
• Experience with alternative and/or electronic trading platforms (ATS, electronic exchanges), trading desk (NASDAQ) and SEC regulatory requirements.
• Background in Legal/compliance, audit, or data/metrics backgrounds
• Knowledge of the U.S. regulatory environment pertaining to alternative trading systems and the electronic equity trading business.
• Experience with FIX protocol and electronic ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) for vendor communication.
• Experience tracking metrics & reconciling metrics
• Strong Excel experience for data analysis & reporting
• Strong eye for detail, internal audit background is helpful
• Good with numbers, able to review documentation for completeness, accuracy & timeliness of data
• Willingness to learn new regulatory/technical terrain quickly.
• Problem solver, think outside of the box
• Robust communication skills: written, verbal and listening in English.
• Time management skills.
Desired Skills & Experience
• FINRA registrations (e.g., Series 7, 55, 63).
• Experience or comfort with EDGAR filings and regulatory documentation is ideal.
What You Will Be Doing
• Use hands-on experience with trading systems to support the operations, compliance, and governance of the company’s Alternative Trading System (ATS).
• Will produce and reconcile performance metrics of the ATS while protecting confidential trading information.
• Focus on activities that help with safeguarding, limiting and protecting confidential trading information.
• Will helping review system requirements, identify where requirements can be improved, reviewing regulatory & SOP filings for completeness, setting up calls, and perform documentation along with other daily analysis.
• Support supervisors with subscriber and business unit matters related to the ATS.
• Assist in the production of high-quality governance documentation that meets applicable standards for its intended audience.
• Assist in providing support services related to supervisory, compliance, surveillance, recordkeeping, and reporting obligations.
• Assist in gathering, drafting, editing, and adhering to developing standard operating procedures and written supervisory procedures.
• Collaborate with technology partners (internal and external) to draft, develop and implement documentation new and enhanced functionality.
