We are an early-stage fintech startup is tackling one of the biggest challenges in American housing: skyrocketing and unpredictable insurance premiums due to climate volatility. Their core product gives homeowners and real estate investors long-term visibility and predictability into insurance costs—something increasingly crucial in today’s changing climate.
The product is already live and used nationwide. Backed by top-tier investors, the team is now hiring a backend engineer to help scale and strengthen the platform.

Compensation: $100K–$200K salary + meaningful equity

Build and maintain core backend systems, including APIs, data pipelines, and pricing infrastructure

Design and manage relational data models and storage strategies (e.g., PostgreSQL)

Integrate with third-party services (e.g., Stripe, Auth0, Canopy Connect)

Collaborate across product, frontend, and design teams to deliver end-to-end features

Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability as the platform grows

Help define backend engineering best practices and architecture from the ground up

Have 3+ years of experience building production-grade backend systems

Are comfortable designing APIs and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
