Linux Engineer/bare metal/Kubernetes

We’re partnering with a leading enterprise financial company to hire a full-time Linux Engineer specializing in RHEL, automation, Kubernetes, and enterprise virtualization. This organization supports mission-critical environments across data center and hybrid cloud platforms, with a heavy focus on bare metal Linux and VMware-based infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in production environments
· Strong experience supporting bare metal Linux servers
· Experience with VMware vSphere administration and virtual infrastructure
· Hands-on automation experience using Ansible, Bash, or Python
· Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters
· Solid understanding of networking, storage, and system performance tuning
· Experience with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
· Scripting and troubleshooting in enterprise Linux environments

Desired Skills & Experience

· Experience with OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes distributions
· Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform preferred)
· Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
· Knowledge of security hardening and compliance standards
· Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
· Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE)
