Are you passionate about building scalable, cloud-based data systems?
A leading digital media & streaming company is looking for a Remote Data Engineer to help power their next generation of content analytics and personalization. In this full-time role, you’ll design and build serverless data pipelines using tools like Python, AWS Lambda, Glue, Spark/EMR, and REST APIs to support real-time insights across the platform.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role 
· Python and modern ETL practices
· AWS (Lambda & Glue are a MUST!)
· Familiarity with data lakes, warehouses, and serverless integration
· Strong database knowledge (RDS, NoSQL, XML/JSON)
· Ability to design and optimize scalable pipelines in distributed systems

Desired Skills & Experience

· Experience with real-time streaming pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar)
· Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and DevOps best practices
· Knowledge of MLOps principles 
· Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown
· 40% Building and maintaining ETL & serverless data pipelines
· 30% Distributed data processing with Spark/EMR
· 30% Cloud architecture, integration, and API development

Daily Responsibilities
· 60% Hands-on development and engineering
· 20% Collaborating with cross-functional teams on data needs
· 20% Designing and optimizing data workflows and infrastructure

The Offer

• Salary range: $150,000–$160,000 (based on experience)
