DevOps Engineer

Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite
Compensation: $150,000–$160,000 base + 10% annual bonus

They’re expanding their AI-focused engineering team to modernize applications, integrate artificial intelligence, and overhaul their cloud infrastructure to support large-scale SaaS growth.

Job Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer will help optimize AWS usage, modernize infrastructure, and automate deployments across multiple applications. Most systems currently run on Windows virtual machines in EC2 with SQL databases, and the company is transitioning toward a modern, cost-efficient, and scalable cloud architecture.

This role involves designing new systems, implementing automation, and guiding development teams as they adopt modern DevOps practices. Candidates should have experience with AWS Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, Read Replicas, and AWS CDK (C#), as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps experience

• Deep knowledge of AWS administration and maintenance

• Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK

• Strong background in container technologies (AWS AppRunner, ECS, EKS)

• Expertise with Windows-based services including IIS and SQL Server

• Proven experience with scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure

• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining serverless architectures

• Proficiency in C#, Python, PowerShell, or Bash

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub)

• Strong analytical and documentation skills
