Senior Network Engineer // Datacenter Team

Job Description Our client, a large Texas based financial company, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their datacenter team. They have three datacenters throughout Texas and need someone with experience using Cisco Nextgen equipment to help with some migration projects and redesigns in their datacenters.

The ideal candidate has experience designing LAN/WAN based solutions for large datacenter or enterprise level environments. They need someone with lots of Cisco oriented experience so having CCNA CCDP, or CCNP certifications is a huge perk. Tech wise you’ll be working with Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto, FirePower, and Cisco VXLAN.

This is a full-time, hybrid (1-2 days onsite) position located in Plano, Texas. Compensation is a $120-130k salary. Required Skills & Experience

• Experience designing LAN/WAN solutions for a datacenter or enterprise level environment.
• Experience maintaining and monitoring networking equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco NextGen hardware.
• Ability to collaborate with a team.
• Customer service skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 6-8 years of experience working as a Network Engineer.
• 3-4 years of datacenter or enterprise experience.
• Relative certifications (CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, etc) a plus.
