A growing technology services organization is currently seeking a QA Engineer to support a long term engagement with a local government customer in Richmond, Virginia. This role will support a large scale application modernization and enhancement effort within a .NET/C# environment, focused on ensuring quality, stability, and reliability across mission critical systems. The QA Engineer will play a hands on role in manual testing and test strategy, with the opportunity to contribute to test automation efforts as the program matures. While automation experience (ideally Playwright) is preferred, the team is open to candidates who are primarily manual testers and interested in growing into automation over time.

This role will require someone to work onsite 5 days a week in Richmond, Virginia. 

Contract Duration: 12-24 months 
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong background in manual testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking
  • Experience testing applications built in .NET/C#
  • Experience validating APIs with tools like Postman
  • Comfortable working in structured, regulated environments
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Playwright or other test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
  • Exposure to test automation development
  • SQL experience for data validation
