Our Client is seeking a Business Development Manager – Corporate & Financial Institutions to join its Marketing Department in a hybrid role based in Los Angeles or San Francisco. This is a full-time, exempt position focused on driving business development strategy, client growth, and market visibility for corporate, tax, and financial services practices within a professional services environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, global marketing and business development team, partnering closely with senior attorneys and practice leaders. Our Client is looking for a strategic, results-oriented professional who can translate business goals into actionable initiatives, support revenue growth, and elevate market positioning. The position provides exposure to firm leadership, cross-practice collaboration, and the ability to make a measurable impact on client development efforts.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in professional services marketing and business development

  • Demonstrated success in business development strategy, execution, and measurement

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proven ability to lead initiatives with a proactive, results-driven mindset

  • High level of accountability and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Previous law firm or legal services experience

  • MBA or JD

  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)

  • Familiarity with website management, databases, and knowledge management tools

  • Experience supporting corporate, tax, or financial services practices

Daily Responsibilities
  • Drive business development strategy and execution for corporate and financial services practices

  • Partner with attorneys on client growth, pitches, and new business initiatives

  • Prepare proposals, RFP responses, and client presentation materials

  • Analyze market and performance data to support planning and reporting

  • Manage client events, rankings submissions, and marketing initiatives

  • Support lateral integration, attorney coaching, and BD team development

  • Ensure confidentiality and professional standards across all work

The Offer

Salary Range: $176,000 – $214,000 (based on experience level and location)
