Our Client is seeking a Business Development Manager – Corporate & Financial Institutions to join its Marketing Department in a hybrid role based in Los Angeles or San Francisco. This is a full-time, exempt position focused on driving business development strategy, client growth, and market visibility for corporate, tax, and financial services practices within a professional services environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, global marketing and business development team, partnering closely with senior attorneys and practice leaders. Our Client is looking for a strategic, results-oriented professional who can translate business goals into actionable initiatives, support revenue growth, and elevate market positioning. The position provides exposure to firm leadership, cross-practice collaboration, and the ability to make a measurable impact on client development efforts.
Required Skills & Experience-
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field

3+ years of experience in professional services marketing and business development

Demonstrated success in business development strategy, execution, and measurement

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Proven ability to lead initiatives with a proactive, results-driven mindset

High level of accountability and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Previous law firm or legal services experience

MBA or JD

Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)

Familiarity with website management, databases, and knowledge management tools

Experience supporting corporate, tax, or financial services practices

CRM and marketing databases

Proposal and pitch development tools

Website and digital marketing platforms

Data and reporting tools for performance tracking

Drive business development strategy and execution for corporate and financial services practices

Partner with attorneys on client growth, pitches, and new business initiatives

Prepare proposals, RFP responses, and client presentation materials

Analyze market and performance data to support planning and reporting

Manage client events, rankings submissions, and marketing initiatives

Support lateral integration, attorney coaching, and BD team development

Ensure confidentiality and professional standards across all work
Salary Range: $176,000 – $214,000 (based on experience level and location)
