Our client, a leader in software development, has an outstanding contract Localization Program Manager opportunity to join their dynamic team! This is a fully remote role.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Localization Technical Program Manager to join our team in San Mateo, CA or Toronto Canada . Reporting to Localization Lead PGM, you will play a key role in supporting and managing the day-to-day execution of localization projects across multiple content types and tools; assisting in evaluating our existing Translation Management System (TMS) and possibly selecting a new TMS. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about languages, international content, streamlining global communication, as well as continually improving our toolings, and processes.
In this role, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of localized materials. You'll be involved in everything from scheduling and vendor support to QA, documentation, and tooling – helping drive operational excellence across our localization efforts.

Daily Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Managing day-to-day activities and coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure the successful delivery of localization projects.
- Time Management: Creating and maintaining localization schedules, and monitoring the timeliness of deliveries.
- Vendor Support: Working with and supporting translation vendors to ensure projects' performance and delivery.
- Quality Assurance and Improvement: Overseeing or conducting quality assurance (QA) and addressing feedback.
- Finance Management: Helping manage localization project costs and ensuring project finances are up-to-date and accurate.
- Issue Resolution: Ensuring timely resolution of any issues that arise, including corrective and preventive actions.
- Documentation: Helping with process documentation and knowledge management.
- Process and Tooling Improvement: Optimizing delivery, quality, and profitability.

- Assisting with the Documentation publishing configuration process, as well as graphics localization process.
- Assisting with Glossary Management.
- Assisting with 3rd Party Localization Tooling management, including evaluation, selecting, and implementation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Solid knowledge of the Localization process (5 years +).
- Experience in using CAT tools.
- Knowledge about content file formats (e.g., .xml, .json, .dita, .mdx, .xliff, etc).

- Passion for Languages, International Content, and Culture.
- Quality focused and detail-oriented.
- Technical savvy (no need to be a developer but should feel comfortable discussing and understanding some technical concepts with our developers).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bilingual skills in any of these languages: German, French, LATAM Spanish, Portuguese, or Japanese.
- Knowledge of CMS.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Localization Management, Translation, or Linguistics; or equivalent work experience.
