Outstanding long-term contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Legal Assistant in West Des Moines, IA or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). This contractor will be supporting the legal remedies team by pulling media for loans that will support the litigation process of defaulted accounts. This person will need to be able to partner with a team that does similar work as well as external law firms. 

Contract Duration: 12 Months contract to hire Required Skills & Experience
  • Someone who can understand change, adapt quickly, and apply updated instructions correctly every time.
  • Legal services exposure
  • Law firm, litigation support, paralegal, legal assistant, CPA, tax firm, or similar
  • Strong ability to interpret legal documents
  • Comfortable working with attorneys and outside law firms
  • Comfortable with written communication
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Can handle moderate to low-risk compliance/regulatory work
  • Adaptable when policies change quickly
What You Will Be Doing
  • Process moderate to low-risk legal transactions
  • Review account requests in ECAR
  • Interpret legal documentation and apply correct actions
  • Update account reporting accurately
  • Notify outside attorneys and firms as cases move through legal stages
  • Prioritize requests when documentation dictates urgency
  • Ensure systems reflect current, correct information
