Principal Infrastructure Engineer / Onsite / Boston, MA

A fast-paced financial services environment in Boston is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance enterprise networking, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern networking, security, and SaaS technologies while maintaining critical enterprise systems.

This position is ideal for a motivated infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex networking challenges and taking ownership of enterprise systems. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, gain exposure to advanced infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies, and play a key role in improving reliability, performance, and security across the environment.

Required Skills & Experience

· 3+ years of infrastructure or network engineering experience
· Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
· Strong troubleshooting skills in TCP/IP networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing)
· Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere
· Experience in Windows/Linux hybrid environments
· PowerShell scripting or automation experience

Desired Skills & Experience

· Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
· Experience with Zscaler zero-trust security platforms
· Experience with Cisco networking equipment
· Exposure to SD-WAN or enterprise wireless networking
