They are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer, with a mechatronics focus to lead their engineering team in creating advanced robotic systems.
As the Principal Mechanical Engineer - Mechatronics, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechatronic systems within their robotic platforms. You will lead engineering projects from concept to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components.

As the Principal Mechanical Engineer - Mechatronics, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechatronic systems within their robotic platforms. You will lead engineering projects from concept to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of mechatronic systems, including robotic arms, sensors, and automation equipment.
- Collaborate with software and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of components and systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, and simulations to validate mechanical designs and system performance.
- Develop and oversee testing protocols to ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Manage multiple engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechatronics and robotics.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics, preferably in the automotive or robotics industry.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex mechatronic systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of control systems, robotics programming, and automation technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of successful team collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
