Our client is a pioneering start-up developing advanced radar scanning technology to detect and mitigate natural disasters. Our mission is to leverage cutting-edge RF and sensing technologies to provide early warning systems that protect communities and infrastructure.
They are seeking a Senior RF Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance RF systems for our radar-based disaster detection solutions. This role will focus on RF circuit design, antenna development, signal integrity, and system integration to ensure reliable, real-time environmental monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop RF circuits and subsystems, including amplifiers, filters, mixers, and antennas.
- Lead RF system architecture design and integration with radar and signal processing hardware.
- Perform electromagnetic simulations, RF testing, and validation of system performance.
- Optimize RF system performance for sensitivity, noise reduction, and interference mitigation.
- Develop and execute test plans for RF subsystems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including firmware, signal processing, and mechanical engineering, to integrate RF components into complete sensing solutions.
- Evaluate and select components such as transceivers, power amplifiers, and phased arrays for optimal system performance.
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to prototype and scale RF hardware production.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in RF system design, development, and testing.
- Strong background in RF circuit design, microwave engineering, and antenna theory.
- Experience with RF simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, ADS, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Knowledge of radar systems, phased array antennas, or software-defined radios (SDRs) is a plus.
- Understanding of RF PCB layout techniques and EMI/EMC mitigation strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Experience in radar system development for remote sensing applications.
- Familiarity with FPGA-based signal processing for RF applications.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (FCC, CE, MIL-STD, etc.).
